Contact Us

If you’re here, it usually means one of two things:

You’re trying to plan for tomorrow, and you want a clearer answer.

Or you noticed something on the site, and you’d like to tell me about it.

Either way, you’re welcome to reach out.

Snow Day Predictor is built for real Canadian winter evenings, the ones where families are trying to make decisions before the morning rush. I read messages personally, and I’m always grateful when someone takes the time to help improve the tool.

The Best Reasons to Contact Me

You can contact me anytime if you want to:

  • Ask how the predictor works (or what a percentage really means)
  • Share feedback on the homepage, quiz, blog, or forecasting pages
  • Report an issue (a result that looks off, a page that won’t load, a bug)
  • Suggest an improvement that would make the tool more useful for families
  • Request a clarification about privacy, postal code handling, or data sources

If you’re not sure whether your question “counts,” send it anyway. I’d rather help than have you guessing.

Before You Message (Quick, Helpful Checks)

Sometimes the fastest answer is right here on the site:

Want to understand how the probabilities are calculated?

→ See Forecasting Methodology

Wondering what information is collected or stored?

→ Read the Privacy Policy

Looking for the purpose and story behind the tool?

→ Visit About Us

And if you still have questions after that, that’s exactly what this page is for.

What to Include (So I Can Help Faster)

If your message is about a prediction, it helps a lot if you include:

  • The first 3 characters of your postal code (your FSA) (Example: K1A — you never need to send your full address.)
  • The province/city you’re in
  • The time you checked the forecast
  • A short note on what looked confusing or unexpected

I don’t need personal details, just enough context to understand what you saw.

What Snow Day Predictor Can’t Do

I want to be clear and respectful of how school-day decisions work.

Snow Day Predictor is a planning tool. It does not:

  • Announce official closures
  • Replace school boards, bus providers, or local authorities
  • Guarantee outcomes (weather changes quickly, and decisions vary by region)

For confirmed cancellations and safety guidance, always follow your school board and local alerts.

Response Time

I do my best to reply within 1–2 business days (often sooner during active winter weather).

During major storms, I may be answering a lot of messages at once — but I will read yours.

A Personal Note

I built Snow Day Predictor because winter mornings can be stressful — especially when you’re trying to plan for kids, work, buses, and safety all at once.

If you reached out, thank you. Your questions and feedback make the tool clearer, more accurate, and more useful for Canadians across the country.

Stay warm, stay safe, and I’ll be glad to hear from you.
